Orders & Shipping

How much does shipping cost? Do you ship internationally?
  • We charge a flat rate of $15 for shipping via FedEx on orders under $150 for all destinations outside of Indonesia.
  • We offer free shipping on orders over $150 via FedEx for all destinations outside of Indonesia.
  • We offer free shipping via RPX on all orders within Indonesia.
  • Each product is carefully packed inside a reusable cotton drawstring cinch bag and shipped in a fully recyclable poly mailer bag comprised of 100% recycled materials. No extraneous packaging materials are used in the distribution of your order.
  • We are unable to deliver to PO Boxes and a handful of restricted destinations not served by FedEx.
How long does shipping typically take?
  • Orders are processed within 1-2 business days and are quickly handed off to our delivery partners. Once processed, our orders typically ship next-day from our studio in Bali, Indonesia. 
  • We use RPX for shipments within Indonesia (3-5 business days) and FedEx for all other international destinations (5-10 business days). 
  • We typically expect shipments to arrive into the US and EU within 5 business days and to Australia within 7 business days. 
  • Delays associated with COVID-19 may extend these delivery windows. For up-to-date status on the delivery of your order, please refer to the tracking information provided via email confirmation once your has order shipped.
  • If you are ordering within Bali, please first email us at support@afterlightleisure.com for help completing your order and coordinating delivery via courier (e.g., GoJek, Grab).
How do I pre-order out-of-stock items?
  • We do our best to keep our styles in stock across all sizes and colours; however, if for some reason your selection is not available, you may pre-order the item by selecting the "PRE-ORDER" button on the product page.
  • The checkout process for pre-orders and in-stock items is the same. You will be charged the full amount of the pre-ordered item(s) when your order is submitted. If your cart contains both in-stock and pre-order items, the entire order will ship together once the pre-ordered item(s) are available.
  • Orders containing pre-ordered items will ship within 10-14 business days, and in many cases, much sooner. We are frequently replenishing inventory.
  • If you are in need of an out-of-stock item within a shorter timeframe, or have questions regarding the status of your pre-order, please contact our team at support@afterlightleisure.com.
What are the international import fees, duties, and/or taxes that I have to pay?
  • Afterlight Leisure products are distributed from our studio in Bali, Indonesia.
  • Orders are subject to the receiving country's import fees, duties, and/or taxes and are not the responsibility of Afterlight Leisure. Funds are paid to and set by your home country's government as per import/export regulations and charged by the shipping carrier.
  • Please refer below for import thresholds on orders shipping to the US, Australia, and Singapore.
    • Orders to the US: No import fees, duties, and/or taxes due upon receipt of your package for orders under $800 USD in value.
    • Orders to Australia: No import fees, duties, and/or taxes due upon receipt of your package for orders under $1000 AUD in value.
    • Orders to Singapore: No import fees, duties, and/or taxes due upon receipt of your package for orders under $400 SGD in value.
What should I do if my order is damaged or incorrect?
  • If your order arrived damaged or is incorrect, please contact us at support@afterlightleisure.com so we can identify the best solution to make things right.
What should I do if I never receive my order?
  • Please allow up to 15 business days from the point of purchase to receive your order. All Afterlight Leisure products are distributed from our studio in Bali, Indonesia and we appreciate your patience in the unlikely event of delays in the delivery of your order.
  • If you still haven’t received your order after this timeframe, please send us an email at support@afterlightleisure.com with your order number (found in your email confirmation) and we will track down your shipment.
How do I cancel or make changes to an order I’ve already placed?
  • Orders are processed within 1-2 business days and are quickly distributed from our studio in Bali, Indonesia. Time is of the essence to make any changes to your order.
  • Please immediately contact support@afterlightleisure.com with your order number if you wish to cancel or change your order. We unfortunately will be unable to make adjustments to your order if it has already shipped, although our team will gladly help in facilitating an exchange or return for store credit.
Is it possible to order in bulk or wholesale?

Returns & Exchanges

What is the US returns & exchanges policy?
  • We offer free returns and exchanges on all US-based orders for any reason, provided the garments remain in unworn condition (neither washed nor altered) and are returned to our US-based warehouse within 30 days of the original purchase date.
  • We do not currently accept refunds to the original payment method – only returns for store credit or exchanges for a new size or colour are permitted at this time.
  • Please click here to initiate a return or exchange via our self-guided portal. 
  • You will be provided with a prepaid USPS shipping label via the self-guided portal that can be used to return your order to our US-based warehouse.
  • In your return package, please include the packing list that shipped with your order and ensure that any tags are still affixed to the garments. You are welcome to keep the drawstring cinch bag as a token of our appreciation.
  • We reserve the right to refuse returns or exchanges on items that have been worn, soiled, laundered, or altered in any way.
What is the international (non-US) returns & exchanges policy?
  • We offer returns and exchanges on all international (non-US) orders for any reason, provided the garments remain in unworn condition (neither washed nor altered) and are returned to our Bali-based warehouse within 30 days of the original purchase date.
  • We do not currently accept refunds to the original payment method – only returns for store credit or exchanges for a new size or colour are permitted at this time.
  • Please send an email to support@afterlightleisure.com with your order number to initiate a return or exchange. We will provide you with a return address. Please note that you are responsible for the cost to return your order to our Bali-based warehouse. 
  • Returns and exchanges must be shipped back to Afterlight Leisure using a trackable method by your courier of choice. Please declare the items as “returned goods” on the customs form of your shipment to avoid any unnecessary import or export fees.
  • In your return package, please include the packing list that shipped with your order. You are welcome to keep the drawstring cinch bag as a token of our appreciation.
  • Any import fees, duties, and/or taxes associated with your original order are not eligible for reimbursement by Afterlight Leisure. These fees can be refunded via duty drawback through your home country’s local customs office.
  • We reserve the right to refuse returns or exchanges on items that have been worn, soiled, laundered, or altered in any way. 
How long will my return or exchange take to process (and ship)?
  • Please allow up to 10 business days for your return or exchange to be processed once it is received and inspected by our warehouse.
  • Upon inspection and approval of your return, store credit will be emailed to you in the form of an Afterlight Leisure gift card with no expiration date. Any original shipping fees associated with your order are not eligible for reimbursement.
  • Upon inspection and approval of your exchange, your new items will be shipped for free from our Bali-based warehouse and should arrive within 3-5 business days for locations within Indonesia via RPX. For all other destinations around the globe, your exchange will be shipped via FedEx and should arrive within 5-10 business days. 
  • Tracking information will be provided via email confirmation as soon as your exchange has shipped.

Product Information

Where are Afterlight Leisure garments produced?
  • Afterlight Leisure is designed and manufactured in Bali, Indonesia with a focus on producing timeless styles using high quality materials. 
  • We partner with a select network of Balinese artisans who custom cut and sew each garment from the comfort of their own homes. 
  • Please refer to our About Us for more information on our manufacturing process and business ethics.
How can I be notified when a style is back in stock?
  • We do our best to keep our styles in stock in all sizes and colours; however, if for some reason your selection is not available, please click the brown “NOTIFY ME WHEN AVAILABLE” button on the specific product page which will prompt you for an email address. We will email you once the product in your desired size and colour is available. 
  • If you are particularly in need of an out-of-stock item, please reach out to our team at support@afterlightleisure.com and we will do our best to accelerate product availability.
How do I make sure I order the right size?
  • Please refer to the size chart link found above the "Add to Cart" button on the product page of the garment you wish to purchase. We recommend sizing up if you are in-between sizes as our styles are slim fit.
  • Do not hesitate to reach out to our team at support@afterlightleisure.com if you have any questions regarding sizing before you finalize your order.
How should I wash my Afterlight Leisure products? Will they shrink?
  • For our Terry Cloth Backpack and Terry Cloth Hat, we recommend spot cleaning with mild dishwashing soap using a soft brush, sponge, or washcloth and lying flat to dry. Please refrain from machine washing or drying.
  • For our Zipper Terry Cloth Polo and Terry Cloth Kimono in Newport Navy, we recommend dry cleaning to avoid dye tinting the white trim during washing.
  • For all other garments in all other colours, we recommend hand washing each piece in cold water and hanging to dry. 
  • If hand washing is not an option, we highly recommend placing the garment in a mesh delicates bag and washing at the gentlest cold water setting and hanging to dry. Please refrain from using a dryer. By handling with care, you will extend the life and colour vibrancy of your garment. 
  • All of our fabric is washed and preshrunk prior to manufacturing, although you may observe minor shrinkage after the first wash.
